Our Board

Jennifer Murphy €“ President
Jennifer Murphy is the BSW Program Coordinator in the School of Social Work and Human Service at TRU. She has a BSW from UCC (now TRU), an MSW from UBC, and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Essex, England. Her research interests include the challenges facing women and men in their attempts to reintegrate successfully into communities once released from federal penitentiaries. She joined the Board in 2011.

Penny Douglass €“ Secretary
Penny has lived in Kamloops for the past 40 years, with her husband and son. Prior to retirement she was a Physiotherapist in Private Practice. She has been involved with EFry since 2002, initially and currently as a Courtworker and also as a Board member for about 10 years. Penny has volunteered in the community for many years. She is currently a volunteer for the PITStop meal program. One of her areas of strong interest is in EFrys’ supportive second stage housing. Recreationally Penny enjoys skiing, cycling, hiking and camping, cooking and bridge.

Mollie Both
Mollie Both is a retired Resource Manager who has been on the Kamloops Elizabeth Fry Society board for twenty-one years. Mollie also is on the CAEFS National Board. Mollie has been a Regional Advocate for federally sentenced women for the past eight years at the BC Correctional Centre/Fraser Valley Institution for women. She has been on the Board for 22 years.

Robbie Tallon
Robbie Tallon is a senior accountant at BDO Canada LLP and has a wide variety of experience working with non-profit organizations, First Nations, municipalities, corporations and individuals. Robbie holds an MBA from Thompson Rivers University and is a CPA, CA. He has lived in Kamloops for the past eighteen years and joined the Board in 2015.

Susie Mabee

Susie currently the Vice-Principal at AE Perry Elementary School and has been an educator since 2000, when she graduated with her BEd from UBC. She completed a Masters of Arts degree in Leadership and Administration from Gonzaga University in 2008.  Susie grew up in Kamloops, and was an avid athlete, focusing her efforts in the disciplines of alpine ski racing and soccer. She returned home after teaching in Richmond for five years. When she is not working, she spends as much time outside as possible, hiking, biking, gardening, skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. Susie is new member to the board, joining the summer of 2016.

Heather Lloyd

Heather has lived in Kamloops for 22 years. She has a BSW from TRU and practiced social work for four years. She is now a second year student in the TRU law program. She has volunteered in Kamloops for many years and recently joined the Board of Elizabeth Fry. Heather enjoys playing soccer, camping and skiing in her free time
