The Pre-Trial Coordinator completes Legal Aid applications on behalf of the inmates who are incarcerated at the Kamloops Regional Correctional Center (KRCC). Types of applications include:
Referrals for this program are made from Legal Aid and at the request of inmates at KRCC. Applications are taken Tuesday and Thursday mornings at KRCC.
The Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society provides inmates at KRCC an opportunity to make meaningful use of their time through the use of the Institution's library. The inmate’s creativity is represented with over 80 pieces of art decorating the walls in the library. The Library at KRCC has two components:
Over the years the community has been generous in donating hundreds of books to the library. The Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society is always looking for new titles to add to the library at KRCC. We accept all types of good condition fiction and non-fiction books with the exception of romance books and encyclopedias. We also accept current magazines.
Donations of books can be dropped off at the Elizabeth Fry office during office hours at 827 Seymour St., Kamloops BC. Please call ahead to make arrangements for drop off.
