OVERVIEW:
The Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society was established in 1974 and is a member of the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies. Within Canada there are currently 24 autonomous Elizabeth Fry Societies all of whom are members of the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies.
Staff, volunteers, and the Board of Directors are committed to compassionate program delivery with community collaboration and respect for individual diversity and autonomy.
OUR MISSION:
The Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society is a non-profit agency providing services to people who are, or who could be, in conflict with the law, with an emphasis on the needs of women and youth. The society provides education, advocacy, capacity building and safe, secure & affordable housing.

OUR PURPOSE: To promote positive attitudes, fair and equitable practices and effective rehabilitation programs within the criminal justice system To provide education, advocacy, support, and capacity building To help develop healthy and safe communities for all To provide safe, secure, and affordable housing To increase awareness within the community about issues related to poverty, criminalization, and marginalization To offer education and supportive programming and services to individuals in the community to help them improve their lives and circumstances To work in collaboration with other agencies in the community and to effectively build rapport with other service providers
